Where have you been? What the eff is going on? Do you like unicorns?!

Why yes, I do love unicorns. In fact, I’ve been spending my time gathering a gaggle of unicorns for the upcoming war – Penguins VS Zombies. Penguins will, of course, take the lead but it’d be fantastic if they had an alley in the battle to come – the mighty unicorns to take the front end and demolish all of those brain slurping zombies with their uni-horns.

But I digress, I’ve been receiving a lot of emails in the last month about my whereabouts since I have not been on cam frequently. To be completely upfront & honest with you, I’ve been traveling through a bit of a shit storm that is settling down. As some of you know, my uncle passed away during my Top 20 month of February on MyFreeCams. I only took a day away from camming during Feb, the day that I found out that he had passed away. I felt like I had been handling everything well until my aunt passed away in the beginning of March and let me tell you… all of the touchy feelings began to pour out. Thankfully, I have a fantastic support system, not only my Penguin Army but a fabulous effin’ (autocorrect switched effing to elfing, lmao wtf is elfin?!) family.

I’m working hard with my family to get things in a super awesome place – one that makes all of the happiez extra happy! There are some other things that went down during March but hell… I’m not going to get into those but I’m feeling really great about the future for myself, my friends and my kick ass family!

One of the awesome things that’s going on with me… well, I cannot disclose the details just yet but I’ll leave you with a couple of hints: documentary + me + hot cam girls + incredible director & team = MIND BLOWING! I’ll keep you posted when I get more details. Needless to say, I am full of excitement for this project!

So yeah… things were mind blowing for awhile and then they sucked a bit but that’s what makes life oh-so exciting because (in the words of the great Forrest Gump) “you never know what you’re going to get”. I’ve taken care of myself, my family and am looking forward to taking care of you big boy hubba hubba (autocorrect, stop correcting that to bubba, dangit!). I’m looking forward to what’s to come in the future and having good ol’ fashioned funzies with my Penguin Army (ice is optional)!

Why am I doing this lifestyle change?

To answer @Neudiin’s (on Twitter) question, “What made your change it?” referring to my diet… In November i came down extremely ill, with a painful abdomen and was bouncing from hospital to hospital. Long story short, it turned out that I had an intestinal infection. This was after having a nasty neck injury, sciatica and some other problems like acid reflux. TBH the intestinal infection was the wake up call for me, that told me I needed to make my health a priority. While I was in the hospital, I thought they were going to take my appendix and hell.. I’ve already had my gallbladder removed… I want to keep all of my organs (even if the appendix doesn’t do much… it’s mine, damnit!).

My parents are pretty damn unhealthy. My father was recently diagnosed with congestive health failure on top of having Hepatitis C & liver damage from C. He’s too young for these kind of serious issues and mom is disabled, with diabetes, arthritis, chronic pancreatitis and well… the list goes on and on…

I love my parents more than anything but do not want to go down the same road as them. I want to live a long, healthy life because I feel that I have a lot to offer to the world and want to gain as much as I can in my lifetime. After the intestinal infection it was apparent that if I didn’t change my lifestyle (making health my priority) that I would end up like them, hardly able to work & leave the house at an early age. So, here I am… doing all that I can to be proud of the life that I live and to make the most of it. Let’s face it, life is a gift and it’s something to be cherished.

Since people have been asking about my lifestyle change (including the lovely @Crazy4Ry on Twitter); I’ll address it here:

It’s pretty straight forward, I’m on a strict diet of only eating veggies, fruit & lean meats while drinking water, fresh juice (that I prepare at home) & tea. I’m using the site and iphone app http://myfitnesspal.com to track my eating to confirm that I’m staying within 1200 cals a day (this will vary from person to person). With this program, you can search the database for any food / drinks that you consume and it’ll automatically add the nutritional facts to your “food diary” (adding the cals up for you – it’s so easy!). You can add your workout routines through this site & it will calculate an estimate of how many calories your burned for the day, too!

I’ve had a lot of curve balls thrown at me recently in my personal life that I needed to attend to and this, unfortunately, did not allow much time to be with my amazing Penguin Army. Earlier in the month, I came down sick and was bouncing from hospital to hospital and ended up being admitted for a short time.

I did not have any energy during this time and was in a lot of pain. I needed to take time off to take care of my body and get back to good health. I had the option to continue seeing a slew of doctors, do loads of tests and be put on medications but I decided to try a natural route to treat my intestinal infection.

Juice Fasting – 7 Days – Day One

My apologies for the sound being off in this video, I’m unsure how to correct this glitch. I’ve decided to take a journey without solid food, only consuming juice from organic vegetables & fruits for 7 days. I’ve done this once in the past and felt absolutely amazing by the end of the week. It might sound crazy to some people but I will be getting the nutrients that I need from the juice – consuming 2 – 4 liters per day. This is the first juicing that I’m doing to start the week off, the yummy recipe is below:

Muddy Waters Juice – Oh boy, it’s so tasty!!
1 bunch of Kale
6 carrots
2 oranges (peeled)
handful of Spinach

The benefits that I experienced after my last 7 day juice fasting:
- Spiritual Uplifting, I felt more in tune with my body & mind
- More motivation, having the discipline to cut out solid food for a week (when I was a food junkie) with much temptation surrounding me was empowering and led to more motivation in the months to come. I hope to gain this feeling again after my week long fasting.
- Clear Mind
- More energy
- Clearer sight, it seemed as if there was a film over my eyes prior to my fasting & the film had been removed afterward
- Lighter feeling, I was more agile after my fasting – I ended up exercising a lot & felt rejuvenated. I was in the best shape of my life!

After my juice fasting, my goal is to continue to juice everyday, eat more vegetables, improve my daily diet & continue exercising. My plan is to continue to make video blogs throughout the fast to document my journey! I hope you enjoy as I do this, even if I become a grumpy monkey from not eating solid food. LOL

Just a word of warning, this kind of fasting is not for everyone and you should contact your physician, if you have any health issues, prior to starting any kind of fast. Juicing everyday is great for you but fasting should be heavily researched prior to doing it to ensure that you’re doing it in the healthiest way possible!

Be Happy!

Happiness is like learning to play an instrument, you need to learn how to be happy (don’t expect it to magically happen). I watched this great documentary last night called, “Happy”. They take the viewer around the world in search of what really makes humans happy. The stories throughout the film are touching and the findings in their research are inspiring.

You can be happy if that’s what you truly want but like anything else in our lives, you have to work for it. Human beings have extrinsic & intrinsic goals throughout their lifetime. Extrinsic goals are ones that are based on self image, wealth and status (popularity) while intrinsic goals are about self growth, building relationships and helpfulness (being involved in your community). They have found that those who have more intrinsic goals are happier because they satisfy basic psychological needs.

With this information, what can you do to be happier? Well, you can create more intrinsic goals! For instance, learn to play an instrument, a new language, to rock climb, a new sport, learn a martial art, learn to paint, whatever it is that you have desired to learn in your lifetime that will help your personal growth – You can begin learning it NOW!

Don’t be afraid of building new relationships or trying to restore old ones. Stop putting it off and reach out to your family & friends. We are social animals and this is a basic psychological need, be there for someone in your life today.

If you do not have anyone close, try volunteering at a local organization. This is a double whammy when it comes to intrinsic goals because you will be doing something good for your community while getting the social interaction that you need. http://www.volunteermatch.org/

Someone I love dearly once said to me, “I could buy myself a present but it wouldn’t be as satisfying as if I bought you a present. See, I am making you happy and in turn, that makes me happier.” We are doing ourselves a favor by reaching out to others and giving a helping hand. It is in everyone’s best interest if we take time to put a smile on someone’s face because it will end up making us happier in the end.

That is not to say that you shouldn’t have extrinsic goals. In my humble opinion, we should all strive to live a balanced life but it’s become abundantly clear that more people in our society are focusing their attention on money, fame and their self image. Making fame & fortune as your sole focus is not healthy for your soul. Your inner self needs more than that and you have the power to give it what it needs. Don’t procrastinate, my friends, take care of yourself and do what you need to make yourself happy!

Address the Attacks from another Model

The shit storm is raining on me today and I do not know how to go about handling it. Apparently a model is pissed off at me for holding my “Beloved Basket Raffle”. These baskets will be full of my most beloved items throughout my lifetime, my favorite snacks, candy, movies, music, etc. She claims that I stole this idea from her but I had no clue that she held a raffle like this one. I ran a market research survey in July asking my Penguin Army & followers on twitter to fill out their favorite shows & desires for future raffles. One thing that became clear to me in this survey was that people desired personal items from me, things that I love and thus I created this raffle to give them exactly what they want.

In my humble opinion, this is not an original raffle idea since models send their fans personal items often. I am doing this for my fans, not to hurt any model, and it sucks that she would openly call me a pig and be okay with her fans saying that I’m not original. I do not know what to do about it. In the business world, this is called slander. So, why doesn’t she act professional? It’s shocking to see such hatred being spewed openly on Twitter (even stating that she hated me). I am hurt, appalled and do not know what to do. I do not want to see a model try to tear down my brand which I’ve worked hard to build up and I am not the type of person who would attack another model… but how do I get it to stop?

Superstorm Sandy Disaster Relief Donation

I hosted a fundraiser on MyFreeCams on Tuesday night for Hurricane Sandy disaster relief and we raised a whopping $773.63!!

I couldn’t have done this without the support of so many generous people. There were a lot of people who stepped up to donate whatever they could and every nickel mattered, otherwise we would not have raised so much for Hurricane Sandy Victims.

I made the donation immediately last night after receiving my paycheck and you can see the receipt in the photo above. The donation to the American Red Cross will help provide shelter, food, emotional support, and other assistance to those affected by the storm. I am proud of all of those who helped provide that support. Each and everyone of you who donated are a hero and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
